Curriculum Projects
Backpack Kids
Seven friends (each a lifesized puppet): Shilo, Bernadette, Amolak, Celeste, Carlos, Haruko and Jane, are ready to visit. Each has a backpack, full of treasures to show to us. Each backpack contains a story, a lunch, special shoes, a treasure, a dressup, a toy, a musical instrument, and there’s so much to learn from each item! A programme designed for intercultural curiosity and understanding, by Rosalind Williams and Cathy Stubington (funded through United Way Aboriginal Success by Six program).

Seasonal Curriculum
The Splatsin people have always lived by nature’s calendar. Over time, Rosalind Williams has developed arts-based curriculum around culture and tradition that follows the seasons, for the children attending Splatsin Tsm7aksaltn Child Care. We have documented this work and created a handbook containing instructions for activities and language-learning songs. as well as special items to help animate the lessons. The documentation/creation project was funded through United Way Aboriginal Success by Six program. It is delivered through Splatsin Tsm7aksaltn.
