Calendario Wheel
Borrow: Three feet tall by one and a half feet wide kinetic sculpture with six individually rotating drums, each featuring a cycle from nature depicted in vinyl.
Description: The Calendario Wheel project was initiated in 2014 by a group of artists and farmers who were interested in creating an artwork reminiscent of a Tibetan or Nepalese prayer wheel with several independently spinning wheels, each row depicting an order of natural indicators: birds, insects, trees, food plants, tools, fish, and water level/temperature.
Pre-Requisites: This resource is to be used indoors and takes up about 1.5 feet of space on the floor.
Options: You can book an artist from Runaway Moon Theatre to come and give a mini workshop on the Calendario wheel and all that it features. It can be delivered within the region or picked up at Runaway Moon Theatre. Send us an email (form below) to inquire and learn more!
